      The International Folk Festival is repetitive venture organized every two years by Youth’s Culture Centre (Centrum Kultury Młodych) together with Song and Dance Ensemble “Łódź”. Our partners and co-organizers are also Widzewskie Domy Kultury and Song and Dance Ensemble “Anilana”. Besides two polish folk groups, there are always many folk groups from all around the world participating in the Festival. The guests of the International Folk Workshops have been groups from Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Georgia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Ukraine, Taiwan, Turkey, Romania, Columbia, and Nepal so far.

       The Festival is good opportunity to exchange experiences and get in touch with new friends, but first of all it gives people a chance to get some knowledge about folklore and culture of other countries. It also promote the city of Lodz and our national culture on the international stage.

      The groups participating in the Festival present their own artistic program on many performances both in Lodzi and other cities in our region. In the spare time they visit the city, enjoy the integrating activities, recreation program and also participate in dance workshops learning polish traditional dances. The International Folk Festival become more and more prestigious artistic event gathering crowds of polish people admiring unique culture of other nations. It’s very remarkable event in the region of Lodz that gives both the participants and the audience special opportunity to get know with tradition, customs and folklore our closer and further neighbors.
